Kim Tankersley & Brent Matherly

At Matherly-Davis Funeral Home, we take great pride in being part of Cushing’s history while continuing to serve and invest in the future of our community. For many years, Davis Funeral Home was faithfully managed by two families: H. A. Davis, his wife Alice, and their son, A. Leo Davis; and later Rodger Floyd, his wife Connie, and their daughter, Mandy Floyd-Lemmon. On December 30, 2020, Cushing native Brent Matherly, along with Kim Tankersley, purchased the funeral home from the Floyd family. With the name changed to Matherly-Davis Funeral Home, we are honored to continue the rich tradition of this long-standing, locally owned business.

Brent has served as a funeral director and embalmer since 1991, and Kim has worked in the funeral industry since 1999, assisting with services and supporting the business behind the scenes. Together, we are committed to personalizing every funeral service because we believe “Everyone Has a Story.” Our goal is to help each family honor their loved one’s life in the most meaningful way possible. Our family strives to make each celebration of life as smooth and comforting as possible, whether a family is making arrangements at the time of need or planning ahead through pre-arrangements. In addition to traditional funeral home services, we provide families with a keepsake video honoring their loved one.
