William "Bill" Edward Van Buskirk was born February 25, 1932, to Daniel and Pearl (Osborne) Van Buskirk in Pritchett, Colorado in a dugout. He departed this life January 19, 2022, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ripley, Oklahoma in 1950 then attended Oklahoma State University until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. On July 19, 1952, William Edward Van Buskirk and Alpha L. "Tooter" Adkison. They enjoyed 65 years together before her passing in 2017. After serving four years in the military, he went to work for Midland refinery where he remained until his retirement in 1982. Bill was a member of Oak Grove Baptist church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, games and playing tricks on family and friends. He was ornery with a great smile. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by brother in law, Dale Ringwald, sister in laws, Glenna Van Buskirk, Evelyn Van Buskirk and Penny Cohenour. Numerous nieces and nephews. One grandchild and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alpha "Tooter" Van Buskirk, son, Darrell, daughter, Dee Ann, four siblings, Betty, Robert and wife, Trellis, Bert, and Burl. A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Matherly Davis Funeral Home in Cushing. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing with Reverend George Brock III officiating.
