Willard Lehman Patterson, Sr. was born July 1, 1944, to Lehman Patterson and Madge (Holden) Patterson in Cushing, Oklahoma. Willard "Pill" departed this life on March 28, 2023, in Cushing.

Pill graduated from Cushing High School with the class of 1962. He then attended Junior College. He served in the United States National Guard.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Volk on June 29, 1970 in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cushing. To this union three children, Chaney, Belinda and Willard, were born.

Pill worked in the oilfield industry for numerous years; working for Shell Pipeline Corporation.

Pill was very involved in the Cushing community; he was a member of the Elk's, Rotary Club and served on numerous boards including Cushing School Board, Cushing Youth Center and Rural Water Board. Pill could be found at every sporting event; he loved to dance, play poker, corn hole and especially his Friday night gatherings.

Survivors include his wife of over 52 years, Barbara, of the home; two daughters, Chaney Hueser and husband, Justin, of Stillwater and Belinda Patterson of Cushing; two brothers, Gilbert Patterson and wife, Joyce, and Delbert Patterson and wife, Doris; one sister, Dee Allen and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Victoria Abney and husband, Dereck, Bryor Robinson, Syrrius Robinson and Jaxson Martinelli; great-grandchildren, Hailey Abney, Kairi Abney and Rory Abney and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Pill was preceded in death by one son, Willard Patterson, Jr.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Reverend George Brock, III officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 – 7 p.m.
