Wilbert "Bill" Exton, lifelong Cushing resident, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years. The son of the late Harry Exton and Mary Fones Exton, Bill was born on May 8, 1925 in Cushing, Oklahoma where he was raised and educated. He was a hard worker and over the years working in the roofing business as well as Kerr McGee Refinery. He retired from the Cushing Public School system where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising cattle, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grandchildren remember him as probably the best fisherman in this area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three children, Carl and Charles Exton and Cheryl Taber; two brothers, Kenneth Exton and Joe Exton; two sisters, Violet Exton and Rosi Matlock. He is survived by two daughters-in-law, Cathy Exton and Robin Exton both of Cushing; one son-in-law, Mark Taber of Cushing; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
