Obituary

Wilber Lee Glasby was born June 29, 1950, to Wilber Paul and Elizabeth Glasby in Yale, Oklahoma. He departed this life January 4, 2022, at the age of 71. He attended Quay public schools. He retired from Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad company after 45 years of service. He enjoyed going to work, hunting, fishing, and collecting anything soda pop related. Wilber was the happiest when he could be outdoors and able to spend time with his family. He had a unique way of connecting with his grandchildren on their level. On June 6, 2000, Wilber Lee Glasby, and Sarah Jane Campfield were united in marriage. He will be missed by his wife and many who called him friend. He is survived by his wife Jane of twenty-one years; one daughter, Shelia Wright and her significant other, Tony Ostroski; five sisters, Sharon Bates, Claudia McKinney, Elizabeth McKinney, Louise Hatchett, and Wanda Wikel; four brothers, George, David, Terry, and Phillip Glasby; three grandchildren, Nathan, Violet, and Elizabeth; eight great children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul and Kenneth Glasby. A memorial service will be scheduled later in the spring. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home.
