Carl Dwain "Wayne" Plum was born September 2, 1941, to James Stanley and Juanita Lorene Plum in Bristow, Oklahoma.  He departed this life February 10, 2023, at the age of 81.

He attended Bristow Public Schools.  On January 24, 1962, Wayne Plum and Peggy Oakes were united in marriage.  From this union were born five children, Darryl, Warren, Brian, Rhonda, and Justin.

He was a welder and a great carpenter.  He built fences, barns, and houses all over the country.  He enjoyed fishing, deer & bird hunting, riding horses, reading western books, riding bulls, roping calves & taking care of his cattle.  His favorite thing in life was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and siblings.  And he had a multitude of nieces, nephews & friends that loved him dearly.

He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Peggy; five children, Darryl Plum, Warren Plum and wife Sandy, Brian Plum and wife Tina, one daughter; Rhonda Smith and husband Scott, Justin Plum and wife Melissa; eight siblings, Gail Britt and husband Don, David Plum and wife Judy, Dorene Pebsworth, Janice Rains and husband Ray, Joe Carol Smith, Annetta Caldwell and husband Archie, Carmetta Bruce and husband Don, Lorella Plum; thirteen grandchildren, Candise Plum, Stanley Plum, Dakota Plum, Sheri Montgomery, Tyler Plum, Meagon Plum, Kyle Plum, Derek Plum, Logan Smith, Chelsea Smith, Matthew, Zack, and Jacob Plum; fifteen great grandchildren, Journie and Landen Smith, Oakley and Oxlynn Plum, Zaria & Cora Smith, Cash, Case, and Riley Montgomery, Jayse Plum, Gavin and Haven Crowl, Scarlett, Emilia and Jack Plum.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Faye and Francis Plum; two brothers in law, Rudy Smith and Buddy Pebsworth.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Advent Christian Church.  Interment will follow at the Welty Cemetery.
