Virgel
Fruits
Jan 5, 1976 — Jun 2, 2026
Bristow
Virgel Padayao Fruits was born on January 5, 1976, in Manila, Philippines. He departed this life on June 2, 2026, at the age of 50. At a young age, Virgel moved to the United States, where he was lovingly raised by his parents, Gary and Rosalie Fruits. He graduated from Ponca City High School and built a life marked by devotion, curiosity, and a deep love for his family.
On March 5, 2005, Virgel was united in marriage to the love of his life, Emily Helm. Together they built a beautiful family, and Virgel took immense pride in being a father to his four children: Kane, Mia, Kale, and Miley. His children were his greatest joy, and he rarely missed an opportunity to support them at school events, activities, and milestones.
Virgel had a wide range of passions that reflected his energetic and hands-on spirit. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, a dedicated car enthusiast who loved restoring and working on vehicles, and a competitive remote-control car racer. Within the family, he was known as the go-to tech guru—always ready to fix, explain, or upgrade anything with a power button.
A man of faith, Virgel was a member of the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ as his Savior. His faith shaped his character, his kindness, and the way he cared for those around him.
Virgel is survived by his wife, Emily Fruits; his mother, Rosalie Fruits; his four children, Kane Fruits, Mia Fruits, Kale Fruits, and Miley Fruits; his brother, Rey Fruits and wife Brandi; and his three grandchildren, Kaeloni Fruits, Khalea Fruits, and Kamilla Fruits. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Fruits.
Virgel will be remembered for his generous heart, his playful humor, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless ways he made life brighter for those who knew him.
