Tommy Carl Dooley was born September 28, 1942, to Carl T. and Alta Mae Dooley in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life February 26, 2024, at the age of 81.

He attended Cushing Public Schools, graduating in 1960. On March 9, 1963, Tom Dooley and Linda Smithson were united in marriage. From this union were born three children, Tami, Darren, and Brad.

Tom had many interests that kept him busy such as cutting horses, going camping, racing cars, welding, playing solitaire and wahoo but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His grandkids loved to hear his stories because he was a great storyteller.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Linda Dooley; daughter, Tami Markes and husband David; two sons, Darren Dooley and wife Dana, Brad Dooley and wife Candice; one sister, Connie Dooley Tate; seven grandchildren, Ashlee Castillo and husband Casey, Ryan Markes and partner Kelsey, Whitney McAlister and husband David, Bradley Markes and wife Ellen, Blaze Dooley, Caitlin Creekmore and husband Seth, and Brady Dooley; four great grandchildren, Sterling Markes, Ezra Castillo, Sarilla Markes, Navy-Cait Creekmore. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Lonnie Dooley and James Leon Dooley.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Cushing Christian Church and interment to follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park.
