Sonja Toland, former Cushing resident, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years. The daughter of the late John Toland and Ola Marsh Toland, Sonja was born on February 11, 1949 in Hobart, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in Cooperton, Oklahoma. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, enjoyed listening to his music and collecting his memorabilia. She will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and her love for her parents and siblings. Sonja is survived by nephews, Gary Toland and his wife Lori, Jeff Toland and John Toland and his spouse David Sandoval; one great-niece, Ashley Norman; two great-nephews, Colby Toland and Devon Toland; great-great-niece, McKinley Norman; great-great-nephew, Grayson Toland; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sonja was preceded in death by two brothers, Arval Ray Toland and Teddy "Ted" Toland. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Clouse officiating.
