Shirley Marie Hamm was born February 17, 1940, to Elvin D. and Laura Belle (Burnett) Free in Oklahoma City. She departed this life on February 18, 2024, at the age of 84 years.

Shirley was raised in Oklahoma City. She was united in marriage to Burl Oren Hamm on September 27, 1958, in Duncan, Oklahoma. To this union eleven children, Angela, Regina, Cynthia, Burl, Theresa, Candis, Brian, Michael, David, Robert and Christopher, were born.

She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She enjoyed playing cards, Pacman, baking, and loved art: coloring, painting and drawing.

Survivors include daughters, Angela Arnold and husband, Gary, of Lexington, Regina Houston of Jenks, Cynthia Denise, Theresa Jones of Enid and Candis Thompson of Enid; seventeen grandchildren; Christopher Houston, Aaron Houston, Patricia Varner, Cody Hamm, Garett Hamm, Dylan Hamm, Patty Burton, Jazmyn Hamm and Chris McDonald, Dalton and Jaylyn Jones, Tanner Mootz, Kaitlen Hamm, Ricky Thompson, Karma Nakvinda, RJ Hamm, Bryan Hamm, Addalynn Hamm, Jaxon Hamm; 14 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Rhylea, Landon, Karson, Kenley, Trenton, Taitum, Paxton, Austin, Anna, Damion, DeeJay and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by sons: Michael Hamm, David Hamm, Robert Hamm and Christopher Hamm, Brian Jason Hamm, Burl Hamm Jr. and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 23, 2024, in the Matherly-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery.
