Shirley Deerborn was born to Willie and Virginia Ruth Norris on July 10, 1944, in Truscott, Texas.  She fell asleep in death on March 9, 2026.  She was 81 years old.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her husband of 40 years, Don Deerborn.  She leaves to mourn her five children, Darrell McCollum and wife Dawn of Portland, Oregon, Carla Ramey and husband Robby of Slick, Oklahoma, Cindy Sims of Vancouver, Washington, Alana Gillis and husband Gary of Bristow, Oklahoma, Aretha McCollum and husband Dan of Vancouver, Washington; 9 grandchildren, Amber, Daniel, Kayla, Toni, Jessie, Ashley, Rachel, Zackary, Autumn, and 7 great grandchildren.

Shirley was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2003.  She took pleasure in serving her God Jehovah.  She was very faithful to her spiritual routine and was zealous in her ministry until her death.  She loved to serve others and was always there to help anyone in need.  Throughout the years she gained a reputation for her self-sacrificing spirit as a caregiver, a bible teacher, and dear friend.  You could always find a listening ear with Shirley.

She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, spending time in nature, and sewing.  She indulged in watching "The Voice" and had quite the reputation within the family tor this!

She had the remarkable ability to reach people in a deep and meaningful way.  Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by those who knew her!  She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her!

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, April 12, 2026, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1311 S. Oak Street, Bristow, Oklahoma 74010.
