Ruth Earp was born March 27, 1931, to Frank and Nellie Dykes in Salyersville, Kentucky. She departed this life April 27, 2023, at the age of 92.

She was united in marriage to Newton Criner and from this union was born one son, Gary. Mr. Criner passed away suddenly. Ruth would find love again and marry Otis Earp on January 12, 1985. They enjoyed many together before his passing on November 3, 2008.

She enjoyed taking care of her animals, gardening, especially strawberries. She had a genuine love for others and was always counted on to help others, no matter what the need was.

She is survived by one son, Gary Criner; two sisters, Louise Allison and Rosa Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Newton Criner, second husband Otis Earp, two sisters, Kay and Edna, and two brothers, Jimmy and Gerald.
