Rudy W. Smith was born February 15, 1946, to Clarence and Gladys Smith in Waurika, Oklahoma.  He departed this life September 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his wife and four children.

He graduated from Comanche High School and later Tulsa Welding School.   Rudy served his country in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1968.  On November 14, 1969, Rudy Smith and Jo Carol Plum were united in marriage.  Together they raised four children, Keith, Lori, Lynn, and Daniel.

He enjoyed welding and could create several different pieces that some would call art.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was always available to help those in need.  His true passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by wife of 51 years, Jo Smith; four children, Keith Smith and wife Brenda, Lori Bosworth and husband Marcellus, Lynn Hopkins and husband Shawn, Daniel Smith, and wife Sherrie; one sister, Helen Smith; nine grandchildren, Aaron and Lonnie Smith, Cameron, Camille and Ciara Smith, Reagan Hopkins, Nathan Weaver, Riley and Colton Walker; two great grandchildren, Alley and Asher Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold Smith, three sisters, Dorothy Blaylock, Betty Smith, and Patsy Davis.
