Robert Edwin Rosebrough, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 84 years. The son of the late John Robert Rosebrough and Stella Cargill Rosebrough, Bob was born on September 24, 1934 in Shamrock, Oklahoma. He was raised in Shamrock and took great pride in his hometown. Bob was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Lee on May 10, 1957; the couple celebrated 61 years of marriage prior to her passing on October 5, 2018. The couple had one daughter, Angela. Bob served his Country in the United States Army, serving from February 3, 1954 to January 17, 1956. He worked as an accountant for Midland, then Hudson Refinery and Eseco. He enjoyed playing golf up until his 80's; he even hit his 3rd hole in one at the age of 80. Bob loved telling stories about growing up in Shamrock. The family joke was that all roads led to Shamrock. When Bob & Shirley would go for a Sunday afternoon drive, they could leave town headed West, but somehow, they would end up in Shamrock. I guess you could say that his internal compass always pointed to Shamrock. Survivors include his daughter, Angie Jackson and husband, Kevin, of Cushing; grandchildren, Sydney Cavero Egúsquiza and husband, César, of Glenpool and Bayley Molholt and husband, Michael, of Perkins; great-granddaughter, Ellie Jae Molholt; and several nieces and other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Caldwell and Jack Caldwell. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Martin officiating.
