Richard Allan Watt Jr. 67, passed away at his home on June 4, 2025 in Bakersfield, California.  Rick was born February 27, 1958 to Richard Allan and Marjorie Lou Watt in Mojave, California.  Rick is survived by his son, Garett Butler Watt; daughter, Ricci Ann Watt; grandsons, Christian and Cruz; daughter, Karlee Marie Watt; grandson, Jack and granddaughter, Emma; brother, Michael Watt (Debbie); brother, Gary Watt (Dawn); sister, Frances Guffey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rick was known for his many gifted talents.  As a former athlete he was known on the football field as an all city wide receiver.  His speed and endurance made him an all-star relay runner breaking a track record.  Rick always demonstrated exceptional physical strength and endurance.  Rick's need for high performance drove him to win and he always left his heart and spirit on the track or field.  Rick spent his career welding and retired as an independent contractor his pride and passion showed throughout his profession.  Outside of work Rick enjoyed rodeoing, team roping, hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking and watching football.  He loved spending time with family and friends and was known as a family man.  Rick, deep down, always had a soft kind heart and was very loving and compassionate empathetic and unwavering in his faith and love for God.  May he rest in peace and continue to live in the hearts of those that loved him.  We are comforted in knowing that he is at peace and is now in the loving arms of our Lord.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am,Monday,June 30, 2025 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Chapel.
