Phillis Kay Middleton, born January 25, 1974, in Bristow, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 52. Phillis spent several years working at Crossroads Diner, where she was known for her steady work ethic.

Above all else, Phillis loved her grandkids — her world truly revolved around them. She poured her heart into her family, finding joy in every moment she shared with them.

Phillis is survived by her two children, Desziray Wood and Daren Wood; her brother, Luther Nickell; and her two grandchildren, Tessem Wood and Ky'Andre Wood‑McDowell, who were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Janey Middleton; her daughter, Katie Middleton; her sisters, Betty and Della; and her brother, James Nickell.

Phillis will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory cherished forever.
