Obituary

Phillip Raymond Isaacs, 82, died at his daughter's home in Myrtle Beach South Carolina Friday October 18th.  Phil was born the son of Marvin Rex Isaacs and Virginia Lair Isaacs Kime on August 12th, 1942, in Baltimore Maryland.

He was raised in Oilton OK and graduated from Oilton High School in 1960.  He met the love of his life, Mary Maureen Burke and married in 1964.  Happily married for 44 years until her death in 2007 preceded him in death.

Phillip joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 1961 serving honorably for 4 years. Phil went to Barber school in 1962 and has had several barber shops in Tulsa, Drumright, North Carolina and even set up shop in the basement of their home while Mary was stationed in Germany.  But his favorite was working with his buddy Howard Matherly at the Colonial Barber shop in Cushing where he gained somewhat of a famous reputation for wearing roller skates while cutting hair.  His customers really trusted him!  Phillip and Mary had many adventures and could often be found in bowling leagues, square dancing clubs, camping and boating.

Phil is survived by two children, Cynthia Weaver of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Steven Isaacs of Tulsa, and 3 Grandchildren, Patrick Weaver of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Jackson Isaacs of Broken Arrow, and Helena Isaacs of Plano TX.  He is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Virginia, wife Mary "Mo" and son Phillip Dewayne Isaacs.

Phil never met a stranger and was the kindest, most gentle human without even trying.  He will be greatly missed but stories of his antics will live forever.
