Obituary

Penny Lynn Lomenick – a life well lived. She was a faithful friend, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dedicated servant and follower of Jesus.

Penny was born October 25, 1945, in Drumright, Oklahoma.  She was raised by her parents Bill and Goldie Doolin in Oilton, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Oilton High School in 1963.  On January 28, 1965, she was united in marriage with Jerry Lomenick, and happily just recently celebrated their 60-year Diamond anniversary.

They moved to Bristow in summer of 1970 to begin raising their family of two boys, Brian and Brad. Penny worked most of her career at Community Bank, retiring in 2005 after 32 years.

Faith, family, friends, and football could describe the primary ways she viewed her life and impact. She enjoyed hosting friends, fishing, cooking, camping, water skiing, snow skiing and Oklahoma Sooner sports. And made the best snickerdoodle cookies ever! Ultimately, her true passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and her first great granddaughter.

Faith meant everything. She loved God and served Jesus faithfully over her life. She loved reading her Bible, journaling, serving in the nursery, and helping with Sunday school at the Bristow First Church of God. She was always willing to volunteer to help with meals, hospitality, hosting, and serving those in the church and the entire community.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Lomenick; two sons, Brad Lomenick; Brian Lomenick and wife Jody; three grandchildren, Adam Lomenick and wife Sloane, Carlee Martin and husband Kendall, Jake Lomenick and girlfriend Haley; one great granddaughter, Millie Lomenick and her future sister.
