Patsy Ruth Brown was born March 23, 1947, to Elsie and William Black in Pawnee, Oklahoma. As a young child her father passed away, which caused some hardship for her mother. Patsy was then adopted by her cousins Lucille and Dawson Brown.

She enjoyed the simple things in life such as getting a hamburger and mountain dew on the way to visit Santa Clause. She also absolutely loved Andes Mints! Patsy had a loving heart and will be missed by those who knew her.

Patsy had been a resident at Drumright Nursing home since 1986 and received wonderful care during her time there. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who cared for her while she was there.

She is survived by a nephew, Pete Sawatzky and wife, Kathy, niece, Sue Burns, and husband Jim. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Elsie and William Black; adopted parents, Lucille and Dawson Brown; two siblings, Charles and Linda Black; sister and brother-in-law, Lula Mae and Pete Sawatzky; and nephew, Jim Sawatzky and his widow, Jackie Zinkan.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery.
