Patricia Lynn Mathews was born April 26, 1954, to Elza and Bessie Tunnell in Bristow, Oklahoma.  She departed this life September 3, 2025, at the age of 71 years.

Patty, a Bristow area resident most all her life, was a vibrant and tenacious person who held firm to her beliefs.  She greeted everyone with a smile and had a kind word for all.  Patty was a faithful member of South Heights Baptist Church in Sapulpa where she served faithfully.  Larry Mathews and Patty Trout were married May 15, 1984, enjoying 41 years together.  She was employed with Work Force Oklahoma retiring after many years of service. Patty loved spending time with her family, crocheting and traveling when she had the opportunity.

Patty is survived by her husband, Larry Mathews; son, Tony Trout and wife Debra; three brothers, Jerry Tunnell and wife Kathy, Robert Tunnell and wife Janice, and Ricky Tunnell and wife Loretta; four grandchildren, Natasha, Nicholas, Shila and Skylar.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sue Tanksley and Linda Thompson.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, September 26, 2025 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Chapel.
