Nadine Marie Ferguson was born September 16, 1926, to Eursel and Vema Tyner in Paragould, Arkansas. She departed this life surrounded by family on September 21, 2026, at the age of 100.

Nadine grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she met her husband Donald “Don” Ferguson. Nadine and Don were united in marriage on September 17, 1943, sharing 58 wonderful years together before Don’s passing in 2001. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Donna, Sharon “Sherry” and Richard “Rick”.

Nadine was a military (Air Force) wife, traveling the world with her husband and children, living abroad in Bitburg, Germany, as well as the states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, Texas, Washington, and finally settling down in Oklahoma. She worked for many years alongside her husband as a bookkeeper for the family business Ferguson Forklift. And she was especially proud of her work managing a cafeteria in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis helping ensure Air Force personnel were fed during that historic period.

Nadine and Don made Bristow their home in 1971 and for the next 55 years she became a cherished part of the community. She enjoyed spending time with her many dear friends and family, including her cherished church family, Pastor Greg and his wife Kim. Nadine also enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, crocheting and collecting butterfly figurines.

Nadine was a devoted member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 20 years and was lovingly known as “Grandma” by the generations of children who attended her class. She holds the record for donations to the Church’s annual pie auction, with her delicious homemade pies bringing in the most each year. In addition, for 18 years, she volunteered her time cooking for the children and staff of Falls Creek youth camp.

Nadine is survived by her daughter, Sherry Hancock; her son, Rick Ferguson and his wife, Bonnie; her sister, Joann Hayden; four grandchildren: Kelley Haskins, Jodi Ferguson, Destrey Runyon, and D.J. Ferguson; 14 great-grandchildren: Amy, Ashley, Carl, Carlye, Christopher, Destrey Jr., Jack, Georgia, Keith, Miles, Owen, Preston, Ryan, and T.J.; and nine great-great-grandchildren: Anthony, Deckland, Emma, Hayden, Hunter, Ila, Kayson, Landon, and Zion.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Eursel and Vema Tyner; her husband, Don Ferguson; her daughter, Donna; her sons-in-law, Jack Hiler and Otis Hancock; and her grandson, Todd Hiler.

Nadine’s century of life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the community she called home. Her memory will be cherished by the generations who were blessed to know and love her.
