Mila Jean Myers was born March 2, 1936, to Everett William Sager and Ruth Mary Welch Sager in Chandler, Oklahoma. She entered her heavenly home at the age of 89 years on October 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Mila was raised in Chandler and Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School with the class of 1954. She was united in marriage to William Edward "Billy" Myers on January 20, 1954. To this union three children, Debbie, Annette and Bill, were born. Billy preceded her in death on April 8, 2016.

Mila had owned and operated Mila's fabric until her retirement; and then she would still be found in the shop helping, greeting customers and passing out hugs and Coca-Cola. She was a member of the Big Creek Church of the Brethren, where she loved doing Women's Work on Tuesdays. She was also a member of the Peacemakers Quilt Guild, she loved quilting.

Mila enjoyed gardening, cooking, especially making cookies, sewing, camping, canning, playing games, where she might have been known to bend the rules to win, spending time with her friends and family, traveling and hunting, she would always prepare whatever she killed. In her younger days she loved dancing with friends and she and Billy would go out dancing with other couples, dancing all night, followed by breakfast together. Mila loved to read her Bible and spend time in prayer; when with her, you could feel a special peace.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Moody and husband, Ronny, of Cushing, Annette Cantrell of Cushing and Bill Myers and wife, Gina, of Ripley; sister, Janet Marler and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Lauri Hazelton and husband, Jason, Jerri Lyn Lawson and husband, Will, JJ Dooley and wife, Angela, Mandi Alexander, Billy Jack Moody, Clayton Cantrell and wife, Jennifer, Erin Tackett and husband, Steven, Susan Cantrell & Brian Cartmill, Daniel Myers and wife, Kaysee, Brandon Myers & Angie Cook, Nicholas Myers and wife, Cassie; sixteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mila was preceded in death by son-in-law, Steve Cantrell; great-grandson, Archer Asa Myers; brother & sister-in-law, Roy and Nadine Myers;

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Council Valley Baptist Church.
