Mark Donald Merski was born September 11, 1960, to George and Mary Elizabeth Merski during hurricane Donna in Homestead, Florida.  He departed this life December 16, 2021in Miami, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Bristow High School in 1978.  He then attended Okmulgee Tech from 1978-1980 graduating with his Culinary Arts degree.  Mark had worked as an executive chef in many cities including Tulsa and Dallas.  He was always depended on to take care of all the cooking at family gatherings and events.  Although cooking was his chosen profession, he also enjoyed being on the ranch raising cattle.

Mark enjoyed spending time with his dogs and listening to music of his favorite artists Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, and Toby Keith just to name of few.  He never met a stranger, everywhere he went he made friends.  While on a family vacation at an automobile convention he even had the privilege of meeting Howard Hughes.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by one son, Malichi Merski of Austin, Texas; five siblings, Majel Gramm of Miami, Oklahoma, Mike Merski of Bristow, Oklahoma, Marcia McPhail and husband Rex of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michelle McKay of Bellaire, Florida, Melissa Merski of Bristow, Oklahoma.  As well as numerous other family members.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00AM, January 8, 2021, at Grace Refuge with Pastor Johnny Plum officiating.
