Gladys Marilyn Fitzpatrick was born March 27, 1934, to Clarence Allen and Mildred Opal (White) Dawes in Yale, Oklahoma. She departed this life February 8, 2023, at the age of 88 years.

She graduated from Yale High School, then attended Oklahoma State University where she received her bachelor's in Education and Music.

On August 24, 1955, Marilyn was united in marriage to Billy Joe Fitzpatrick. To this union three children, Rhonda, Joe, and Gary, were born. Billy preceded her in death on October 10, 2022.

She was an active member of the Yale First Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, music, and especially spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Hickman and husband Eddie; two sons, Joe Fitzpatrick and wife, Gwenn, and Gary Fitzpatrick; nine grandchildren, Danea Hickman-Spears, Brent Hickman, Steven Hickman, Krista Eastman, Maddison Hickman, Sean Fitzpatrick, Melodie Pitzer, Ethan Fitzpatrick and Reed Fitzpatrick; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Dawes and nephew Frankie Dawes.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Yale First Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Richards officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma at 1:00PM.
