Lucille McNew was born March 2, 1923 to Lon and Sadie Mooney in Drumright, Oklahoma.  She departed this life January 28, 2023, at the age of 99.

On May 20, 1940, Lucille Mooney and William H. McNew were united in marriage.  From this union was born one son, Billy.  They enjoyed almost 62 years together before his passing August 29, 2002.

They had lived in California for some time before moving back to Oklahoma in 1975.  She enjoyed traveling around with her husband, stopping at flea markets and finding treasures.  She attended Happy Corner Church of God and the Bristow Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Bill McNew; two grandchildren, Ammey LeCompte and Travis McNew; one great grandson, Dylan LeCompte; one great granddaughter Dana LeCompte.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Sadie Mooney, Loretta Hollon, Bessie Wise, Clara Williams, and one brother, Kenneth Mooney.
