Lotie "Gary" Schlegel, 80, passed away May 11, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home in Edmond OK.

Gary was born December 11, 1942 in Cushing to Lotie B Schlegel and Dortha Leyerly Schlegel. He graduated from Cushing High School with the Class of 1960.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Tarver Schlegel. He is survived by one sister, Esther Carter of Orgeon House CA, two daughters and one son, Sue Ann Schlegel of Ripley, Jill King of Cushing and John Schlegel and wife Darien of Austin, Texas. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Misti Wall and husband Steele, Carol Green, Emily Schlegel, Abby Schlegel, Kaitlyn Schlegel, and Ryan Schlegel. Eight Great Grandchildren; Payton Overfelt, Raygen Overfelt, Gage Overfelt, Myiah Forte, Nevaeh Green, Eva Green, Lacy Green and Houston Green.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Ralph Guinn, Kenneth Schlegel, Gerald Schlegel and one sister, Marsulla Swoap.

A memorial service will be Thursday May 18th at 10:00 am at the Matherly-Davis Funeral Home in Cushing.
