Lisa Gaye McKinzie was born February 15, 1958 to Basil and Trela McKinzie in Paris, France. She departed this life March 24, 2022 at the age of 64 years.
Lisa, a 1976 graduate of Depew High School, was active in the band as a drum majorette; and played basketball. She had been a 30 plus year resident of Bristow. Lisa's union to Jeff Duncan in 1980 brought forth her two children, Brooke and Kyle. In 1992, Lisa married Billy Murphy; the two shared 13 years together. She worked many years in an administrative role for various companies and was very detailed in her work. She had a love for people especially her friends and family. Lisa got together with friends and family anytime she had an opportunity. Being surrounded by loved ones brought her great joy and she was considered a second mom to many. Lisa attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Lisa is survived by two children, Brooke Bigpond and husband Jason and Kyle Duncan of Bristow; seven brothers, Mark McKinzie and wife Gayle of Depew, Bruce McKinzie and wife Tina of Depew, Brian McKinzie and wife Sandy of Arkansas, Jeff McKinzie and wife Annette of Bristow, Clifton McKinzie and wife Lisa of McCloud, Adam McKinzie and wife Susan of Depew and Guy McKinzie and wife Davalene of Tuttle; three sisters, Tammy Howard of Depew, Marcella McKinzie of Sapulpa and Melinda Newpher and husband Bill of Depew; nine grandchildren, Aubree Walshak and husband Cody of Bristow, Jason Bigpond Jr, Anthony Bigpond and wife Jordan of Sand Springs, Colby Bigpond, Xavier Bigpond, Talon Bigpond, Zain Bigpond, Eden Bigpond and Lorne Duncan; two great grandchildren, Easton and Hudson with another one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents. A family directed Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 4th at Depew Church of God.
