LINDA MAE CRAVENS, 70, Cushing, Oklahoma, passed from this life on January 31, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will hold a private memorial celebration to honor her life and wishes. Linda was born on October 13, 1946 in Matador, Texas to Eva Lee (Goolsby) and Stidham A. Conway and was raised in the small town of Roaring Springs, Texas, before moving to Guthrie, Oklahoma with her mother and brother and attending Guthrie High School. In Guthrie, she met George R. Cravens and they married on October 10, 1966. They made their home in Cushing where they owned several businesses including the Cushing Café and later the Leisure Lounge and Wagon Wheel. Linda worked as a cook at the Homestead Restaurant and the Steer Inn Restaurants, was a manager for Captain D's, and later worked at several local convenience stores, including Tiger Mart, prior to retiring to care for her grandchildren which she enjoyed more than anything. She loved making crafts, gardening, caring for her pets and watching sports on tv cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma State. She is survived by her husband of 51 years of the home; her daughter Melody Herndon (Steve) of Stillwater and her children Jordyn Engel and fiancé Trey Cole and son Easton of Ponca City and Jeremy Engel of Stillwater; her son George R. Cravens, Jr of Cushing and his children Colton Cravens and fiancé Tiffany, their son Braydin and her daughter KayLynn of Cushing and Austin Cravens and girlfriend Heather Pearce of Cushing; Brother in Laws Jimmy Lee Cravens (Connie) of Cushing and family and Joe Bob Cravens (Lyn) of Cincinnati, Ohio and family; Brothers Stidham A. Conway, Jr (Debbie) of Tulsa and family; and Jeff Conway and family of Lubbock, Texas; and Step Father Cecil Snow of Guthrie and family. Linda was preceded in death by her Mother and Father and beloved In-Laws, George V. and Audrey Cravens. George, Melody and George Jr. appreciate the support and caring shown by their family and friends during this difficult time.
