Laura Ellen Kreps was born December 6, 1952, to Rollie and Opal Aline McKenzie in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She departed this life February 9, 2024, at the age of 71.

She graduated from Bristow High School in 1970.  Ellen went on to have a long career as an office manager for the city of Tulsa, retiring after thirty years of service.

She had many things she enjoyed such as floral designing and going to the casino.  Ellen was very proud of her native American heritage and at times was politically opinionated.  She was known by her family as "the spirit of Christmas".  She was very spiritual and loved angels.

She is survived by two children, Kimberley Kreps and domestic partner, Brian Evans, Timothy Kreps and wife Leslie; longtime companion, Stan Bolding; four brothers, Tommy McKenzie, Bo McKenzie, Kevin McKenzie, and Bobby McKenzie; four sisters, Shirley Scarlett and husband Sonny, Charlotte Rudluff and husband Mike, Phyllis Alcorn, Sandra Chowning and husband Terry.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Linda McKenzie and Sharon Daniels; three brothers, Joe, Gary, and Lonnie McKenzie.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Bristow City Cemetery.
