Wilma June Henson was born August 2, 1936, to Frank and Opal Dove Walker in Okfuskee, Oklahoma.  She departed this life September 25, 2024, at the age of 88.

She graduated from Sanger High School in Sanger, California.  On August 10, 1956, June Walker and Jack Henson were united in marriage.  From this union were born two children, Cheryl and Tim.

June worked as an elementary school teacher's aide.  June enjoyed cleaning, shopping, playing solitaire on her iPad and playing bunco.  She also enjoyed playing board games with her grandchildren and going to visit the Pioneer Woman.  She was also an avid sports fan.  She enjoyed watching the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, the Las Vegas Raiders football team, and NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Jack Henson; one daughter, Cheryl Wood and husband Monte; one son, Tim Henson and wife Julie; one brother, Ron Walker; six grandchildren, Sabrina Caldwell, Jacob Henson, Trish Madonna, Tyler Henson, Melissa Garza, and Kyle Henson; four great grandchildren, Lexi Henson, Ava Madonna, Lola Henson, and Leah Henson. She is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, Francis Reagan, Bob Walker, Floyd Walker, Evelyn Wall, Norma Henson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Welty Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
