Joyce W. O'Neal Was Born February 13, 1940, to Estella Pearl and Jesse James Parkhurst in Gypsy, Oklahoma. She departed this life September 13, 2021 at the age of 81 years and 7 months.
Joyce grew up in the Gypsy area graduating from Gypsy High School in 1959. Joyce worked many jobs throughout her life supporting her family. She found a way to do most everything for her family. Family always came first. Though, in younger years, Joyce could be found working various jobs around town she was most noted as working at KWIKSET giving them 20 plus years before her retirement. Joyce welcomed all family and friends into her home; she enjoyed any time she could spend with them. Quiet times she loved puzzles; she absolutely loved the mountains of Colorado where she would often travel to pan for gold. BINGO was a game she loved to play on a night out. Joyce was an active member of Bristow Advent Christian Church. She served her Lord faithfully.
Joyce is survived by three children, Jerry Wesley O'Neal and wife Brenda of Bristow, Jeff O'Neal and Wife Connie of Bristow and one Daughter, Jana O'Neal of Hulbert, Oklahoma; one Brother, Dan Parkhurst and wife Dee Dee of Midland, Texas; two sisters in love Charolette Parkhurst and Mary Parkhurst; nine grandchildren, Jason O'Neal and Wife Angie of Bristow, Jessica Hagood-Ejekwu and husband Emmy of Bristow, James O'Neal of Bristow, Jai and Husband Jeff Webb of Bristow, Calvin O'Neal and wife Jennifer of Mannford, Oklahoma, Justin O'Neal of Yukon, Oklahoma, Cody O'Neal and wife Tina of Bristow, and Forrest O'Neal and wife Hannah of Hulbert, Oklahoma; 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sister, Lorene Renfro and Darlene Carman; two brothers, Jim Parkhurst and Mark Parkhurst.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Advent Christian Church with Pastor Al Hutchings officiating. Interment will follow at Bristow City Cemetery.
