Jonathan Wayne Pope was born June 12, 1980 in Stroud, Oklahoma.  He departed this life September 29, 2023 at the age of 43 years.

Jon grew up in Bristow and was a 1999 graduate of Bristow High School.  He worked many years as a welder.  His best times were spent with family, especially his children.  Jon loved being outdoors; fishing and hunting were two of his most favorite activities.  Time with friends and family often meant he was firing up the smoker, he had really perfected smoking his meats.  Somewhat of a shade tree mechanic, Jon spent many long days and nights working on his "old Ford".  Due to his strong dislike of anything Dodge he considered this time well spent.  Jon had recently been attending Rogers Chapel in Slick.

Jon is survived by the mother of his children, Amber Pope; daughter, Emily Pope; son; Dakota Jones; dad, Lynn Farmer; four brothers, Micheal Cross, David Cross, Clifford Farmer and Preston Farmer; two sisters, Jessica Encinas and Stephanie Edwards.  He was preceded in death by his mom, Barbara Farmer and Grandparents, Jimmie and Marion Compton.
