John Donald Parish born July 14th, 1950, Fort Hood Texas to James and Margaret (Hanna) Parish. He passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family in Arcadia, Oklahoma.

He graduated high School at L.D. Bell in Hurst, Texas in 1968 and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1993.

John Parish was married to Sandra Sloan and later the love of his life Lora Noltensmeyer Parish. John had a love of life, which included playing games with his family, especially Risk with his grandson Allen Old, and Sevens with all family members. He was an Emerald Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League, and he was an active member of the Fun and Games Duplicate Bridge Club in Oklahoma City, where he enjoyed teaching and mentoring new bridge players. In his memory, the bridge club will be hosting an annual John Parish Memorial Pro-Am Bridge Game. In addition, he enjoyed playing poker, especially hi-lo split.

He is survived by his wife Lora Noltensmeyer Parish; daughter Julie Dawn Parish-Old and his son-in-law Craig Old; grandchildren Toni Old Jones and her husband Jonathan Cory Jones, and Allen Old; brother James Parish along with other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Parish.

Funeral services are 1:00pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 in the chapel at Matherly Davis Funeral home.  A visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm Thursday, January 5, 2023.
