John Edmond Lee was born June 15, 1940 to Ollie and Beatrice (Walterscheidt) Lee in Hennessey, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 7, 2023, at the age of 82 years.

John graduated from Cushing High School with the class of 1958. He was united in marriage to Lynda Roberts in 1960 and to this union three children, Sherri, Pam and Justin, were born. John worked for Cushing Lumber and then opened a feed store in the late 60's that he ran for a few years. He went to work for Kerr-McGee Refinery before moving to the oilfield, where he spent many years as a pipeliner for City Service, Western Crude Oil, Texaco and Equilon. He enjoyed farming, going to farm auctions, going to the Agra senior citizen center and participating with the food distribution.

Survivors include his children, Sherri Beene and husband, David, of Cushing, Pam Werner and husband, Basil, of Kingfisher and Justin Lee and wife, Jenny, of Cushing; sisters, Cornelia "Corky" Watkins of Agra and Charlene McCaslin of Casper, Wyoming; grandchildren, Hannah Hurdle and husband, Eli, Sydney Werner, Brady Werner, Dakota Lee and Megan Lee; great-grandchild, Aston Hurdle and many other relatives and friends, including special friend, Linda Ellis and his friends from the Agra senior citizen center.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Big Creek Church of the Brethren with Reverend John Holderread officiating.

Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery.
