John Wesley Farrow was born May 30, 1945, to Charles Otis and Edith (Anderson) Farrow in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 14, 2024, surrounded by his kids.
He graduated from Fort Gibson public schools. He then served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Faith Outreach Church in Bristow.
He loved spending time with family and being outdoors. He also enjoyed going to church, and even preached for a time. He was known as a hard worker and a great storyteller. He always gave great advice and was never in a bad mood around his kids or grandkids. You could see and feel the love he had for his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by three children, Jason Farrow and wife Ale of Salt Lake City, Utah, Leah Gosney and husband Brandon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Johnny Farrow and wife Wynisha of Bristow, Oklahoma; three siblings, Roy Farrow of Seminole, Loretta Ford of Winfield, Iowa and Paul Farrow of Fort Gibson; five grandchildren, Phoenix Casparis, Jonas Farrow, Casper Gosney, Abel Farrow, and Gabriel Farrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, David, Dallas, and Hershel Farrow, and two sisters, Elizabeth Taylor, and Delilah Scarbrough.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Chapel with interment to follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
