Joe Ledgerwood was born December 2, 1940, to Richard and Thelma (Orton) Ledgerwood. He departed this life October 4, 2024, surrounded by his family.

His elementary education was at Oak Grove Schools and later moved to Drumright where he graduated high school in 1959. Joe owned and operated his own business where he installed television antenna's all over the Cushing and Drumright area. After retiring Joe moved just west of Cushing where he helped his great nephew Billy Preston and his wife Courtney at Hilltop Greenhouse.

Joe enjoyed playing music where he specialized in the steel guitar. He also enjoyed playing checkers and gardening.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including, Ronnie Preston, Kathy Ledgerwood Naifeh and husband Joe, Johnnie Sue Ledgerwood Rowland, Mike Ledgerwood and wife Barbara; one cousin, Elmer Ledgerwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dixie Preston, one brother, John W. Ledgerwood and one nephew Doug Ledgerwood.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00PM, Monday, October 7, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma with Reverend Jimmy Ledgerwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Matherly-Davis Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses
