Jo Ann Young was born July 13, 1933 to Jesse and Evelyn Couffer in Hominy Oklahoma.  She departed this life June 6, 2024 at the age of 90 years.

Jo Ann grew up in the Bristow area graduating from Bristow High School.  Jo Ann and James Young were married January 17, 1959.  They made their home in Depew, OK where she remained a resident until her passing.  Jo Ann and James had one child, a son, Jonathan.  She worked for Kwikset in Bristow from the time they opened until she retired, giving them 25 years.  JoAnn, being the oldest of eleven, loved to spend time with her sisters.  She loved going to the coffee shop and a good trip to Branson when she was able.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Jo Ann is survived by her grandchildren, Tabbatha Young, Tara Baize, Joseph Young and Meranda Moreno; one sister, Louella; and 17 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jonathan Young and nine siblings.
