Jimmey Ray
Grant
Feb 15, 1964 — Oct 13, 2024
Milfay
Jimmey Ray Grant was born February 15, 1964, to Jimmey Wayne and Carolyn Joyce Grant in Stroud, Oklahoma. He departed this life October 13, 2024, surrounded by his family at the age of 60.
He graduated from Stroud High School in 1982 and was a member of the Milfay First Baptist Church. After graduating Jimmey continued working at Jackson's Dairy. He also worked at Stroud Feed, J&J Dozer Service, which was operated by him and his father, Jim, and Cross Country TLC Truck Driving. In March of 2000, Jimmey began working for Creek County District 3 and retired after 24 years of service. Jimmey loved his time as Assistant Fire Chief at the Milfay Volunteer Fire Department and serving his community in various ways.
Jimmey loved anything to do with family, hunting, fishing and camping. He checked his game cameras every day, twice a day, always searching for that big buck. And he always was quick to share those photos. In his younger years, you would find him in the wood's coon hunting with the crew.
Survived by his wife Angela Daniels Grant of the home. His parents, Jim and Carolyn Grant, one sister Joy Polkey, brother-in-law Bob Polkey and nephew Jimmey Don Fowler. Cousins like brothers, Johnny "Bump" & Billy Grant, and their wives Penny and Leslie Grant. Bonus kids and grandkids, Jerry & Stephanie Brown, Tiffany and Tommy Thomsen, Ryan & Danielle Murfin, Cloe, Cadence, Chance and Logan. Special friend/brother, Eric Reynolds. Beloved pets, JoJo, Tabby, Annie & Reba
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Forrest & Pauline Grant, and maternal grandparents Frank & Mary Cochran. Uncles Paul Pool, Charles Cochran, Ed Fowler, Don Gregory, Ronnie Cochran & Don Cochran. Aunts, Irene Cochran and Lillian Cochran. Father-in-law, Llyod Wayne Daniels.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Seasons Hospice and his cousin, Kelly McLeod, for their care and compassion.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Milfay Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Stroud City Cemetery.
