Obituary

Jimmie Lee Pinson was born May 25, 1937 to Elmer and Malee Pinson in Tuskegee, Oklahoma.  He departed this life March 15, 2022 at the age of 84 years.

Jim attended Bristow Schools as a child growing up.  He left school early enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps returning home upon honorable discharge.  Jim loved the law enforcement sector of serving the community and began his lifelong calling in 1961 for the City of Bristow.  He left law enforcement from time to time but always found his way back.  He served Creek County under five different Sheriffs as a deputy for many years.  Jim, when not in law enforcement, was a long-haul driver.  He quickly learned every aspect of that industry as well, Jim Fully retired in 1990.  July 8, 1990 Jim and Peggy Rickner were married in Pagosa Springs, Colorado; a place he had grown to love throughout many years of hunting deer and elk in the area.  Jim found a love for the Lord later in life.  He and Peggy attended Freewill Baptist Church every chance they got when health permitted.  Jim loved to fish and was excited to fry a mess of catfish when he caught enough.  He will forever be known for his hushpuppies.  A good classic western kept his attention when it came to the TV.

Jim is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; three children, Rocky Pinson and wife Lucy, Johnny Pinson and wife Yvette and Debi Mattocks; one sister, Beverly Langley and two brothers, Rick Pinson and Don Pinson; eight grandchildren, Josh Pinson, Jason Pinson, James Pinson, Ginger Pinson, Jordan Pinson, Tiffany Turner, T J Mattocks and Stephen Mattocks; eight great-grandchildren, Rhett, London, Scarlett, Emma, Maverick, Jacob, Riley and Chloe.  Mr. Pinson was preceded in death by his dad and mom, Elmer and Malee Pinson; Brothers Cleo Pinson and Leon Pinson and the mother of his children Ediera Pinson.
