Hodge
Mar 4, 1947 — Jul 28, 2024
Jean Hodge, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on March 4, 1947, to Norman Eugene Keller and Elva Lorraine Keller (Gleason) in California. Jean lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family.
Jean married the love of her life, Ernest Hodge, on February 13, 1970, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Their marriage was a beautiful journey that spanned 47 years, marked by deep affection, mutual support, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a loving home and raised four daughters: Lorrie Clark (husband Michael Clark), Misty Clift (husband Mike Clift), Angel Gaither (husband Sam Gaither), and Robin Almedina (partner Brian North).
Jean was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her twin sister Jane, her four daughters, and their children Elizabeth Wright, Katelyn Clark, Matthew Clift, Berkeley Gaither, Connor Clark, Austin Gaither, Angel A. Almedina, and Antonio North-Hodge, and two great-grandchildren Zaria Lambert and Viviana Lambert. Jean was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brother Sam Keller.
The hobbies Jean most enjoyed were cooking for her family and watching the Food Network. This passion led to her working for many years as a cook in the Cushing Public Schools. She loved serving the children and being part of the school community.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Genesis Home Health and Ray of Sunshine Helping Hands, and the hospice staff at Luminos Hospice, whose compassion and dedication provided comfort and support to Jean in her final days.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Stroud Cemetery.
