Johnnie C. Hutson, known to everyone as J.C. was born July 1, 1925 to Wesley and Lillie Hutson in Tuskegee, Oklahoma.  He departed this life on September 1, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

J.C. has been a Bristow resident most all his life.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army.  On October 18, 1950, J.C. Hutson and Jackie Moore were united in marriage, enjoying over 63 years together before her passing on May 27, 2014.  Together they raised one daughter, Candace.

J.C. was extremely active and well-known in the Bristow community.  For over thirty years he owned and operated Bristow Tire; taking it over from his father-in-law, P.M. Moore.  Once he sold the business, he worked for Spirit Bank as a personal relations liaison; a job that he was very good at.  He was always known to shake hands or have a friendly conversation with most all who came in the bank.  He held a seat on the Bristow School Board for ten years and was a member of the Rotary for over thirty-five years.  J.C. was a dedicated and faithful member of First Baptist Church; and was the oldest living member.  He was a Deacon, taught a Jr. Boys Sunday School class, was a member of the church choir and served on numerous committees of the church through the years.  He loved his church and felt it was the utmost importance that we invite others to attend and hear the word of the Lord.

J.C. is survived by one daughter, Candace Hutson of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Floyd Hutson, Carl Hutson and Jack Hutson; and four sisters, Dovie Brown, Wanda Hutson, Norma Vycital and Doris Raines.

Graveside services are 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Reverend DJ Carney officiating.
