Janice Rae
Butz
Apr 11, 1950 — Apr 26, 2026
Sapulpa
Janice Rae Butz was born April 11, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama, to George and Elsie Beck. She departed this life on April 26, 2026, at the age of 76.
Janice graduated from Calumet High School and continued her education at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology. On November 1, 1969, she married the love of her life, Peter Butz. Together they built a strong and devoted family, welcoming three sons: Peter, George, and Jason.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Janice spent twenty plus years at BAMA Pie, where she worked as a machine operator and in quality control. She took pride in her work and the friendships she made along the way.
Janice's hands were rarely still. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, canning, and spending time outdoors working in her yard. She loved traveling, and she never turned down a good board game or card game with family and friends. Her creativity, energy, and joyful spirit were woven into everything she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Butz Sr.; her sons, Peter Butz Jr. and wife Elizabeth, George Butz, and Jason Butz and wife Karrie; eight grandchildren; and numerous great‑grandchildren. She is also remembered by many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Frank, William, Marshall, and Joe Beck; and two grandchildren, Halley and Terry Butz.
Janice's life was defined by love—love for her family, love for her home, and love for the simple joys
