Jim was a 1953 graduate of Skiatook High School.  February of 1954, Jim became a soldier with the United States Army; earning an honorable discharge February of 1956.  Jim and Harriet Qualls were married January 18, 1957; to this union four children were born.  Jim had a long career in the banking industry.  His service to others was second only to his Lord and Savior and family.  He was well known throughout the community, which allowed him to be a leader outside of work for various volunteer organizations.  He taught Sunday school for many years as well as serving in other roles throughout the church.  He faithfully attended First United Methodist Church in Bristow when health permitted.  Jim was CEO of the Midwestern Oklahoma Development Authority, an active member of Lions Club International with the Bristow chapter, President of the Jaycees, active in the Chamber of Commerce along with many other organizations.  In his later years he could often be found serving the homeless in downtown Tulsa. Jim was instrumental in the refurbishment of the Chrysler sign on Route 66.  College Game Day meant all things OU Sooner football.  Jim was a true fan and talked OU with the best of them.

Jim is survived by three children, Terry Davis and wife, Janet of Colorado, Tracy Davis and wife, Michele of Florida and Trudy Brock and husband, John of Oklahoma.  Seven grandchildren, Jeremy Stout, Abby Davis-Loftus, Seth Brock, Benjamin Brock, Austin Davis, Morgan Davis, and Sarah Beth Brock; twelve great grandchildren, Arriana, Brandt, Joseph, Hans, Ethan, Claire, McKinsey, David, Bodhi, Azurite, Helios and Viridian.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, his wife and one daughter, Tammy Diane Davis.
