Obituary

James Scott Handley was born February 15, 1965, to Charles Duncan and Emma Faye Handley in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He departed this life April 18, 2022, at the age of 57.

After graduating from high school, he attended college for two years. He was a self-employed building contractor.  He became a father from his first marriage; raising four children, J.D., Chris, Tasha, and Milinda.  On September 6, 2008, James Scott Handley and Vikki Gantz were united in marriage.  From this union he gained two bonus daughters, Amanda, and Aubrianne.

Scott was a member of the Blue Springs Church in Salina, Oklahoma.  He was very passionate about his relationship with his Lord and Savior.  He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His hobbies were body building, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his boat.  He loved living the lake life.  Scott had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing jokes in efforts to make people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Vikki Handley; five children, James Dillon Handley, Christopher Steven Handley, Natasha Lynn Williams, Amanda Renee Halford, and Aubrianne Nichole Handley; one brother, Charles Steven Handley; nine grandchildren, Riley Halford, Hannah Boynton, Magenta Handley, Kyler Williams, Veronica Handley, Connor Williams, Vivian Handley, Harley Boynton, and Reina Captain; two uncles, Jimmie Dean Jackson and Paul Jackson of Jay, Oklahoma.  He was preceded in death by his father, baby daughter, Milinda Elise Kay Handley, one sister, Yolanda Stephens.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2022, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home in Bristow, Oklahoma.  Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00pm, Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Blue Springs Church in Salina, Oklahoma.  Interment will be held at 3:00PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas.
