James Nolan Dees was born January 2, 1957 to Jim and Betty Dees in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  He departed this life November 14, 2023 at the age of 66 years.  He had been a Depew area resident since 1999.

James or "Cubby" as known by most; was raised in the Keifer area. September 1, 1989, He and Ronda were united in marriage. They made their home in Sapulpa.  James loved family life and all it had to offer. Nothing brought him more joy than doing all he could to make sure they were taken care of.  He worked the oilfield in his younger years.  He had recently retired from Durable Medical Equipment after 20 years.  Being set in his ways, James worked eagerly to put God first and share the gospel with others.  His work with Durable Medical Equipment allowed him to do this often.  James was faithful in reading his Bible and come to Jesus meetings were frequent.

James is survived by his wife, of 34 years, Ronda, dad Jim Dees, three sons, Scott Dees, Brad Dees and David Witt; two daughters, Sara Gunter and  Natalie Ramsey; five siblings, Jack Stafford, Laure Harsha, Jeannie Holder, Cindy Dees and Robert Dees; seventeen grandchildren, Elyssa, Krista, Tristan, Sophia, Aubrey, Nathan, Raven, Brianna and Dillon Dees, Devin Gunter, Brooklyn Green, Amber Dees, Julia, Trinity and Brian Conley and Jonah and Zach Witt, 15 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mom, Betty Stafford and Jack Stafford.

Funeral services are 2:00pm, Monday, November 20, 2023 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Stafford Family Cemetery near Depew, Oklahoma.
