Helen Elizabeth George was born March 25, 1940, to Howard and LaDonna Barnes in Watonga, Oklahoma. She departed this life October 4, 2024, at the age of 84.

Helen graduated from Cushing High School in 1958. She then served her country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1959. She was united in marriage to Wilbert J. George and from this union were born two daughters, Gloria Ann and Cheryl.

She was employed at Mercury Marine in Stillwater for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. Helen was a member of the Cushing First Baptist Church. She was very active helping teach the 2–4-year-old group.

In her spare time she enjoyed quilting in a quilting guild called "the Piece Makers". She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Graveside Services are at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in the Flynn Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma.
