Francis James Roberts was born to James and Gladys Roberts on July 9, 1934, in Elmira, New York. He departed this life September 16, 2021, at the age of 87.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1962 during the Korean conflict. On November 10, 1956, he was united in marriage to Romalee Mae Goodrich. They enjoyed over fifty years together before her passing on August 24, 2007.
Known by all his friends and family as "Hi", he worked as a forklift operator at IMCO recycling, Inc. until his retirement. He enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching game shows. Most of all, Hi enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the outdoors.
He is survived by five children, Jona McCollough and husband Larry, James Roberts and wife Karen, Joy Hamilton and husband Harvey, JoLyn Roberts and husband Gene, Jeffrey Roberts; Grandchildren, Angela Neafus, Dustin Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Nathan Hamilton, Sabrina Brown, Emily Hamilton, Dakota Roberts, Brittney Roberts, Dillin Roberts, Madison Roberts, and Peyton Roberts; great grandchildren, Hunner Neafus, Hannah Neafus, Hudson Neafus, Noah McCall, Tinlee Roberts, Maissee Roberts, Shaelinn Roberts, Trenton Roberts, McKinzley Roberts, Levi Roberts, Mia Roberts, Betty Roberts, Layla Roberts, Natalie Hamilton, Chelsea Hamilton, Zachary Hamilton, Lane Brown Cody Brown, Morgan Brown, and Makenzie Brown, Cash Cole, Cotton Cole, Cruise Cole and Charlene Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Romalee Roberts and seven siblings, Harry Roberts, Douglas Roberts, Stanley Roberts, Gordon Roberts, Rodney Roberts, Sidney Roberts and Nathan Roberts.
Funeral services are 11:00 am, Monday, September 27, 2021 at Tulsa Lighthouse Church, 1541 W. 71st Street South in Tulsa. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
