Faye Dotson was born on March 30, 1936, in Bristow, Oklahoma to Sid and Minnie Looney. She departed this life May 27, 2025, at the age of 89.
She graduated from Bristow High School in 1955. On September 4, 1955, Faye Looney and Charles Dotson were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Diane and Tommy. They enjoyed 68 years together before his passing November 7, 2023.
She retired as manager of the Gossard Outlet in Bristow. Faye loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Bristow Holiness Church since 1939. Faye loved her church as an extended part of her family. She never met a stranger and always seen the good in people. Her true passions in this life were serving the Lord and loving her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Van Ness and husband Joe; one son, Tommy Dotson and wife Shelli; one brother, Ron Looney; grandchildren, Cathy Eslick, Wesley Dotson, Matthew Dotson, Joshua Steele, Sarah Steele, Rebecca Caywood, Jeffrey Van Ness, Mark Van Ness, and Sherri Washington; nineteen great grandchildren, Layton Eslick and wife Shelby, Shae Eslick, Maizie Eslick, Jake Bishop, Brooklyn Davidson, Bradyn Dotson, Kennedy Steele, Jackson Steele, Lincoln Steele, Stephen Mizell, Serenity Green, Matthew Washington, Justice Van Ness, Claire Smith, Litany Bergstein, Kristen McDaniel, Rachel McGregor, Memphis Caywood, Mercy Caywood; six great great grandchildren, Kadence and Parker Eslick, Levi and Luke Washington, Paislee and Xaidyn Washington and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Dotson, one brother, Travis Looney, two grandsons, Nick Dotson and Mike Eslick.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Bristow Holiness Church with burial at the Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
