Eutana Ruth
Lovejoy
Apr 3, 1932 — Apr 2, 2024
Sapulpa
Eutana Ruth Lovejoy was born April 3, 1932, to Virgil and Beulah Ewing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She departed this life April 2, 2024, at the age of 91 in her home surrounded by family.
She met Joseph Howard Lovejoy and were later united in marriage. They enjoyed over sixty years together before his passing January 12, 2016. From this union were born two children: Wayne and Linda.
The couple had lived in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington before settling in North Bend, Washington in their home between the mountains and the river. In 2018, she decided to move back to Oklahoma to be closer to her sister, Ladona Matlock, her grandson, Jeremy Lovejoy and his family and all her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, as well as Missouri and Georgia.
She enjoyed shopping, reading, working on puzzle books, making her own jewelry, eating, especially a good steak, and traveling and listening to classic country and southern gospel music. She enjoyed seeing the world. Italy, Alaska, and Turkey were among her favorite places. She especially enjoyed surprise gifts and visits from her granddaughter, Lynda Kupfer. She also loved to snuggle with her little dog, Muffin. There were so many things she enjoyed, but her true happiness came from spending time with her family.
Her sense of humor was one of a kind. She was sassy, feisty, and always wanted to "go". Even the week before her passing, she was making plans to visit friends and family. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
