Ethan Allen Bigpond was born April 5, 1937, to Kessler and Lucille Bigpond in Claremore, Oklahoma.  He departed this life June 24, 2022, at the age of 85.

He was a 1956 graduate of Bristow High School.  He then attended UCLA where he graduated with his Bachelor's in Business Administration.

On June 21, 1973, Ethan Allen Bigpond was united in marriage to Maureen Gladys Haag.  They enjoyed 37 years together before her passing August 12, 2010.

He worked many jobs over the years but retired from the Muskogee Creek Nation. He enjoyed reading, watching old westerns and an occasional trip to the casino.  He was affectionately known by his family as "Mr. Chang", due to his love for doing laundry.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by three children, Valencia Bigpond, Gibson Bigpond and Kogee Bigpond; one brother, Kessler Bigpond Jr.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sons, and one daughter.

Wake services are scheduled for 7:00PM, Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
